Wexford are a great benchmark for us. In the early Daly days, and just before, we had close defeats, then draws, then wins, then handy enough wins. It is slightly worrying that we are back to defeats - but is the Walsh Cup, so I wouldn't be getting too excited about it either way.
But, whereas everyone on that Dublin team are fine hurlers, one or two, or more are not county standard and won't be. If Cunningham is playing them because he is just out of players, then that is understandable. But if he is playing guys that he thinks he sees something in - and then realises, as he does, in July that he was wrong, it will all be a bit late.
