Player Identification Manager… wtf?

#488

So he’ll be the head talent scout?

#489

Does he have to spot players in an identity parade?

#490

No that’s only in the Premiership

#491

Tough job.

#492

Afaik he s been doing the player identification role anyway. Essentially what English players qualify for us. This is why some English non league players were getting picked for the u21s.

#493

#494

Jesus wept.

#495

Not sure where to put this but the US have 2 friendlies in Europe for the first time I can remember in quite some time

#496

Oh and we still haven’t appointed an official head coach for the upcoming world cup cycle. Friendlies against England at Wembley and Italy in Belgium at the Luminus Arena.

Despite dominating possession in the 1st half Kazakhstan didn’t really get going until they scored. Bauyrzhan Islamkhan the architect of almost everything positive going forward for the home side. His long range effort stopped by FC Zurich and Latvian goalie Andris Vaņins with the follow up being put well wide by the left back Gafurzhan Suyumbayev. It was Suyumbayev that would put Kazakhstan in front with a well struck effort hit into the far corner of the net after the ball was held up by Roman Murtazayev. They should of scored a second but captain Islamkhan blazed over after a good low cross into the box by left back Suyumbayev. Latvia’s best chance came when winger Artūrs Karašausks dipping shot was palmed over by Kazakh goalie Nenad Eric. Even though Kazakhstan can’t get promoted with Georgia having already won this group 2 wins for Kazakhstan in their final 2 matches means they will avoid being put into pot 6.

FT :kazakhstan: Kazakhstan 1 :latvia: Latvia 1

A scrappier 2nd half but an early equalizer for Latvia earns them a point in Astana. It came off a corner eventually headed on by Igors Tarasovs across to an onsides for forward Deniss Rakels who finished well to stun the Kazakh crowd. Kazakhstan had plenty of the ball in the 2nd hald but didn’t do a whole lot with it. Bauyrzhan Turysbek was left isolated up top for long periods of the match and eventually was replaced by target man Aleksey Schetkin. Sub Dāvis Ikaunieks put the ball in the back of the net moments after coming on the pitch be he was judged by the sideline official to be off sides. Despite pressure late on Kazakhstan could not find a winner. Kazakhstan play away in Georgia for their final match. Latvia meanwhile face Andorra.

#497

You must have a pretty poor memory

#498

Perhaps ye will be more enlightened after playing in the Luminus Arena.

#499

Poor form from FAI not contacting him when he was sick. From that article seems to very critical of FAI. Mr Delaney wouldn’t like that. He only has time for the yes men like Noel King who tell him how great he is.

#500

Gotta be good news

#501

You’d think so , need to get him capped in a proper international though .

#502

Getting ourselves in a tizzy over a lad who has played 2 hours of premier league football. He may well turn out to be s good player but MON has been saying he did nt know the players intentions about what country to play for yet the player and his agent say 100% Ireland. If only MON had been in the same hotel as Obafemi for the past 4 days he could have asked him.

#503

One of the lads walked into the job an hour ago holding up two free tickets. How we laughed.

#504

Bosnia guarantee promotion to League A with a point or better in Vienna tonight.

#505

Who are they playing?

#506

Was in around Barrow St/Ringsend a while ago. Wouldnt even know theres a match on
