Is it true there was pressure on MH from the county board to patch things up with RTE, coz the new sponsor wasn’t one bit happy about it? Only gonna be one winner there.
That was reported last year during the contracts talk.
Fair to say a new sponsor would want that.
Ironically…I imagine Sean C might get the odd pundit role for RTE.
Hope he does and nudges some of the kerry cabal of the bench.
a great player.
i see that the moronic wing of our support gave the trolls something to munch on when he left the field which is a pity. There was a lot more cheering him off in a good way than bad from where i was standing though. Thankfully the players reaction has grabbed the attention.
Cooper and O’Se are going nowhere. They are new arrivals. Spillane (like Brolly and O’Rourke) will be carried out in a box.
That would be good to have opposing views anyway.
But a very nice touch from the Dublin fans and Dublin players.
No planning or choreography…just genuine.
Fantastic player and decorated to a level his talent and commitment deserved and a key part to one of the best sides of the modern era.
Defenders knew that shimmy to his right foot was coming before he stepped inside to land another score; still couldn’t prevent it though.
If that was Aido O’Shea it would be like a scene out of Zoolander.
Pleasure to have been in Croker on the days when two greats of our generation called it a day, Whelo back on that terrible day and yesterday for Sean C, not sure M harte did him any favours taking him off, it is not right but the jeering was bound to happen, would happen if Cluxton or Dermo were being taken off too.
Delighted to have seen him play. True sportsman. Played challenge v Lavey u.14s from Derry few weeks back. Was talking about SC with Henry Downey, he was saying SC will travel anywhere across Ulster for camps or medal presentations, true gent.
I know someone posted on another thread, but, picture with Cluxton summed it up for me.
Best wishes for future SC.
A true great of the game, exemplified by most of the Dublin players seeking him out after the final whistle to wish him well.
I was actually sitting beside his mother in law at the game, but I didn’t find that out until the final whistle!
Was she giving him dogs abuse throughout? Or maybe that’s just my mother in law …
An Armagh Harps woman through and through - Charlie Vernon’s mum to be precise!
Wow didn’t know that Rufus! I would’ve thought such a union (careful now) would mean instant banishment for all!!
Ha ha, no she wasn’t, but she was definitely able to hold her own in the banter stakes!
I knew his brother-in-law was Charlie Vernon…but not the Harps connection.
He said that after Aramgh beat them in '14, he couldn’t face going to his in-laws.
Not that you need to get beat by your nearest rivals for that feeling…
I see people are using Sean’s artical on ball.ie to say he is accusing Dublin of doping. A shocking alligation and if that is what he is getting at he has gone way down in my estimation.
Was disappointed with his reference to the 40 hour week too .
Ill say no more but I was very disappointed
Disappointed too, but I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and say it was a tongue in cheek, sarcastic remark that’s been taken out of context.
Ah ■■■■ wish I hadn’t read that.
