It is telling that ourselves, Kerry and Mayo came on strong when it really mattered at the end of the league. Ulster is not clear cut by any means going on the league. Donegal and Monaghan appear to be ahead of Tyrone at this stage.
So Kerry will again be our biggest challengers this year yet in my opinion we remain ahead of them.
My point earlier was whilst our resilience in the league this year has been admirable it is symptomatic of our mixed performances in most games.
I accept that for us to remain unbeaten and reach another league final is a remarkable achievement for a team who have won 3 of the last 4 AIs. However the teams we have started in the league have been strong yet we have had to empty the bench to rescue draws and win last Sunday.
It can be mentally and physically tiring for a team to have to keep doing this over the course of a season. All it takes is one day you relax but suddenly find the bucket doesn't reach down to the water in the well.
