Agree about the backs, Davy Byrne has been a great success overall since last year. Lowndes looked good, tougher tests await.
Re-EOG, nothing to do with composure, that fella has one of the best heads in the squad. No, it's purely a lack of natural skills, along with being a big, awkward unit. Without a long run of games at the highest level, and lots of specialist coaching, he butchers chances. Previously we really needed what he offered, and speaking as a big fan, while he still offered something different, I'm really not sure if he's needed IF the current forward options continue to go well, along with the fact we now have an even bigger attacking threat from midfield & backs.
I think he may remain more of an impact sub, and that of course won't help his touch, shooting etc, so he may fade out altogether.
