True, and it's a long time to stay in form and fit, but I think the work they've been putting in to counter us is bearing fruit. More legs, better options in midfield, more balance and depth to their forwards.
Does it make them suddenly favourites? No, in my opinion, but as said we haven't ever really put them away, so if we're talking 1-2 point games then small improvements make a big difference.
I'm an external optimist when it comes to this team and will always fancy them (and still live in hope that we'll batter someone big before this team declines) but with them improving and ourselves not yet showing it to the same extent, while also getting older, with lads possibly struggling, with Connolly being out, it's natural that people are re-evaluating the balance between the teams.
