Time will tell I guess, Gavin deciding to stay on for me is a good sign that he feels we have young players in the set up that will make an impact and keep us at the top table. Lowndes for me 100%. At u21 when other big name lads dropped their heads in a few games he never gave up, I love his attitude, in all honesty if Kerry had him we would be hearing all about him on here and from Kerry lads. Mannion is very left footed I agree, but has great strength and balance when on his game, has a big ego in the right way and hopefully this is his year.
We are hearing JOD talking about Kerry lads coming of age, they haven’t a patch on our lads coming of age.
Cluxton is still key for us, Philly, Cooper , fenton and Kilkenny. Flynner as much as I want him in the team, I think it’s getting to the stage its more to scare the opposition than the damage he does during play, how many games has we seen where it’s passed him by. But I’ll love him for his unselfish job in midfield last year. Connolly we all know is class but again hasn’t ran a game in a while and usually causes the team to restructure during the game because of some sort of incident where he is carded, (again i love the guy and feel for the sh…te he has to put up with, but unfortunetly the team now are constantly having to shoulder his pain , which i dont think can be good ) I know It was only Westmeath but their was a great balance in the team and harmony.
Scully would worry me in a big game, but again I hope I’m wrong.
Con I watched through minor and I think he has potential to be a great , once size doesn’t effect him.
In all I’m positive.
