To be honest we are doing incredibly well for a county with bugger all tradition in Hurling. There is huge work going into it, no doubt. I know from our own club the mentors who are coming along from the nursery etc have little coaching experience in either code, but its far easier to coach football,
The real answer would be to use the experienced coaches, but in an ideal world, where does a man have the time to do all of that. I do think we could be a little more predictable in Dublin and develop the club coaching a wee bit more...but there again, folks have a lot going on in life and may not want to be doing that bit extra.
Club adult hurlers are another road we should be going down, but once again, the time aspect is maybe something they are unwilling to give....
