Moses Boyd is another good modern drummer.

Keith Moon pure genius, google him he’s like Animal from the muppets, what Moon could do with a drum kit couldn’t be teached , along with Entwhistle two of the greatest in their field , I say it as not exactly the biggest fan of The Who as a group

Larry Mullen, regardless of what you think of U2 but he’s brilliant.

David Grohl and also the actual drummer from Foo Fighters

As was mentioned The National’s drummer is also brilliant

I love the drumming on “stuck in a moment…”, very sympathetic to the song without dominating.

Bono, however, remains a pox.

#2057

Agree on Larry Mullen.
Also think Mick Fleetwood is a brilliant drummer. Love the drums on Go Your Own Way.

#2058

All the way from Crumlin … Brian Downey on drums

#2059

How has no one mentioned John Bonham?

Levon Helm was extraordinary. One of the best. Could play anything. And sing at the same time.

#2060

Not claiming they’re the best because that’s a matter of opinion but I love Stephen Morris and Clem Burke

One for @Vin

Karen Carpenter.

#2064

I thought Jim Reilly (SLF) was brilliant. Excellent on “Hanx”

#2065

Jim Corr has a strange style…

#2066

Up on cripple creek from the last waltz , my favourite performance from him.

Budgie ( Siouxsie and the Banshees) was brilliant, check him out on the Nocturne album
