splitting the country into two halves is in effect what we have anyway - where do we end up in this? be funny to stick Wexford and Kilkenny in "munster" but we'd still end up with Galway (fine with me in that scenario).
My basic problem is that for decades Galway have been happy to allow Connaught Provincial Hurling wither on the vine (although the provincial council are the primary culprits) so long as they stroll into All Ireland Semi Finals at all grades. The problem is that in modern ireland strolling into a semi (lol) is no guarantee of anything anymore, hence their problem.
I am unmoved. Why should Leinster or Munster counties be the stone upon which Galway's blade be sharpened? Let the GAA actually do what it is supposed to do and develop Hurling to a standard in the west which gives Galway the same sort of a run out we give Kilkenny in Leinster.
This is a scenario of their own making - and one they were perfectly happy with until the glory days of the 80's had finally faded (a pity their arrogance hadn't fade with it). As someone who opposed them coming into Leinster I am quite happy to usher them out again for whatever reason.
