No one cares about it, they’re only interested to hear how their county players got on. Pull county players out of it and use it as a stepping stone from u21 to senior.
Like the Railway Cup?
Did you see the crowds at it yesterday?
No one cares about it beyond the players. Certainly general college populations don’t and looking at the paltry pitch invasion yesterday some players’ families didn’t even show up.
have to agree. the problem is the GAA tries to please every nanny state minority and ends with the most shambolic fixture calendar in world sport
Are you cracked? Very little interest in Fitz compared to IC U21. Have yo compared attendances? You could try resurrect the railway cup while you’re at it
Apologies Alan, hadn’t seen your reply
DCU won the freshers final tonight beating UL in the final after extra time by 2. A lot of young dubs on there so no harm at all to be winning that. Well done to all involved
Donal Burke played the full 80 mins. Surely that means he won’t play any part on sat. Good to see 8 dubs starting tonight
Oisín Foley (Crossabeg/Ballymurn, Wexford)
John Curran (Dungarvan, Waterford)
Darren Byrne (Blackwater, Wexford)
Darren Mullen (Ballyhale Shamrocks, Kilkenny)
Daire Gray (Whitehall Colmcilles)
Shane Howard (Fingallians)
Oisín Lanigan (St Vincent’s)
Ciarán Dowling (Lucan Sarsfields)
Fergal Whitely (Kilmacud Crokes)
Conor Burke (St Vincent’s)
Conor Hearne (Shelmaliers, Wexford)
Donal Burke (Na Fianna)
Colin Currie (Na Fianna)
John Donnelly (Thomastown, Kilkenny)
Edmond Delaney (Conahy Shamrocks, Kilkenny)
And three ex Ardscoil Ris boys!!
Would have headed in for a sconse if i’d known DVU were playing with so many dubs involved.
Burke will hardly play a full match v Waterford now after that?
County Managers are notoriously short sighted and will take their pound of flesh whenever they can. These are the same men who force college players to train a huge amount in January and February when lads are flat out with college teams.
Don’t be surprised.
