Still haven’t seen it :frowning:

#31

Treat yourself, it’s a modern day classic imo, for Bill’s performance alone.

#32

Love Murray but i think maybe i was put off because of the romantic overtones . Am i wrong that that’s in it ?

#33

It’s not a rom-com if that’s what you’re worried about

#34

Phew :triumph:, ill give it a spin so !

#35

Somebody forward that to Signylin!!!

#36

Seen that yeah, have no clues unfortunately

#37

I know that’s Blazing Saddles without even opening the link

Just watching it now . Very good . Murray is so good . There’s a scene in the hospital where he’s having a conversation with an old timer & two extras are absolutely pissing themselves trying to keep in the laughter . It didn’t seemed staged either :joy:

Do, it’s excellent.

‘HEY! Lip my stocking’.

Favourite scene is ‘The Bonnie Situation’ in Pulp Fiction, love the set-up, the rat-a-tat dialogue and great acting.

The line-up scene in The Usual Suspects is great but think the scene where Baldwin’s character says “The news said it’s raining in New York” is brilliant, really captures their sense of trepidation, and hints at their wish to be back home. https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4bcnd6 (not the full scene).

I don’t have much time for Neil Jordan’s Michael Collins but like the scene where Stephen Rae’s Ned Broy confides to Collins that he can’t bear the pressure and is cracking up. Broy, expecting/ hoping for a word of comfort is met with ‘Neither can I, but sure keep it to yourself’. Hints at the pressure they were all under but also that thing of ‘we all have our own shit going on, get on with it’.

Thought Sicario was an excellent film, particularly liked the border crossing scene: https://youtu.be/LzKwClRvRco

(This is a good analysis of the technical set-up of the scene, shows how good directors build up to a scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cEBguJj3dg )

Really enjoyed Casey Affleck’s performance in Manchester by the Sea, thought this scene was really well acted by both actors: https://youtu.be/gfaow4Ydzno
