I presume most clubs would have choice to refix for Sun morn. There was a full hurling fixtures for same time as Dubs v Cork. Fixtures got refixed for Sun morning.
there are junior football championship games fixed for club grounds on sunday morning so may not be easy (bizarre that semi finals are being played on non-railed off venues but that’s a separate conversation)
Folks still no venue yet for Semis? Bórd Gáis site has it down for Semple Stadium, but, nothing from HQ.
Normally a double header down there, is it not?. Tullamore for the Dublin v Galway game and Parnell Park for the Waterford v Antrim game would make more sense. TG4 coverage probably dictates a double header.
Yeah usually a double in semple.
Heard this team lost a challenge game last week to a pretty average club side, probably can’t read to much in to it. You’d expect they’d be hammering average senior club sides though.
Can’t read anything into that game. Lads back off their break, only getting half a game, etc. Only blowing off cobwebs.
The replayed senior semi-final might work to our advantage?
How? We’re playing Galway!
I may have had too many jars this afternoon! …
Anyone know what time the U21 game will start so we can try to plan for it…heard it was in Thurles as a double header but nothing on official site…
Tweeted them yesterday and they have said that it is due to be confirmed “later in the week” and that it will be published once they know what the story is.
Very late notice…wondering if online tickets sales are not involved?
See the fixture is on the Bord Gais website before gaa.ie…
Dublin v Galway fixed for Semple as the second game to start at 6pm.
Waterford should be way too strong for Antrim at 4pm on Sat 20th August
If cover your eyes if you’re going to watch Waterford and Antrim. Listening to it will be bad enough.
If Dublin can beat Galway we will be better prepared for the final. As would Galway be!
One of the starting backs has picked up a serious knee injury - probably would be worse if it was one of the forwards as we certainly do’not have as many options up front.
Out for the long term.
was it the dreaded ‘cruciate’?
Seeing consultant next week, but all indications point in that direction.
