I think the "right type" tend to join clubs most of the time. By joining a successful team in vincents they appear to have integrated better.
Of the 5 incoming non Dubs to vincents in last 4-5 years, 3 have never been regulars and 2 of these rarely ever see game time. 3rd is regular off the bench sub while Egan and varley are the 2 in first 15.
I'm sure if mcloughlin from brigids had gone to Vincent, he'd be classed as the "right type".
On payments, a lot of talk about it and surely couple of cases where it happened in the past obut I'd be confident the incoming players to CK, Mun. Crokes in recent years joined as validly and un induced as any those player recently joining vincents.
On managers, it's different issue for me. Guys won't arrive in unaffiliated club from their playing days and not be paid.
If clubs want to pay a manager that's their business in that club.
The only thing wrong is that instead of pumping money into pocket of a guy who hasn't players to come close to SF title, most would be better of spending same funds on improving players with S&C, video analysis etc
Transfers between Dublin clubs whole different ball game. Should be refused unless exceptional circumstances. Vincents cmmtte and DCB let themselves down by sanctioning fennells transfer. Not sure how much was down to a wish to join vincents or a wish to join the club of the then Dublin manager. Either way, was wrong on all fronts.
