Not sure if that attached. But my thoughts on the championship structure would be along the lines of the attached and my previous post. Using the results from the first and second rounds. Teams in bold win. Explained a bit further below, let me know what you think? It's based off the football structure a few years ago. (And no offence was intended with one team progressing over another, it's all just for the example requested by @rockey)
Round 1: Open Draw with all 16 teams. )
Possibility to seed the previous championship winners and the current league champions.
Extra-time, and replays where applicable
Winners section –8 first round winners drawn to produce 4 fixtures with the 4 winners progress to the quarter finals. With 4 losers progressing to round 3.
Back door section - 8 first round losers drawn against each other. 4 winners progress to round 3. 4 losers progress to relegation semi finals
4 losers from Round 2 – Winners Section play against 4 winners from Round 2 Back door section. 4 winners progress to quarter finals
Seed the four winners from Round 2 to avoid each other play the teams progression from Round 3.
Semi Finals/Relegation Semi Finals:
Open draw semi finals
All teams guaranteed 3 championship games, as it is now. The most number of games to played (bar replays) is 6 games, as it is now. But I think this could eliminate dead rubber games.
