That was dreadful yesterday. Some horrendous wides. If that's the best minor team we'll have over the next few years we are in trouble. But yet had we scored some of those very score able wides and the umpires knew what a square ball was we'd be in an all ireland final.
On the square ball why did our defender attempt to catch that? He should have done what any good defender would do and that is clear man and ball in that circumstance.
2 side issues it as asked above any lads available next year. Answer was more or less no this was he 2nd year if a 2 year plan. So that leaves a very inexperienced squad for next year? As someone else said should the same man run the team from development squad right through?
2nd point then is the development squads themselves. Are they doing there job? What are they producing? Over the last few years there's been very few skilful hurlers with a great brain coming through. It's an awful lot of the same type of hurler coming through little if any play off the cuffe hurling
