Club Minor Football 2017

Na Fianna 2-11 Cuala 0-6 in A championship semi final.

Thomas Davis beat St Sylvesters in other semi final, 2-11 to 1-7

Ballyboden St Endas beat Na Fianna in the minor C championship semi final by 2 points. good game. Ballyboden in the final.

Na Fianna v Thomas Davis ( A final )
St Vincent’s v St Mary’s ( B final )

Presuming these are being played in Parnell one after another ?

A final should be a cracker, na fianna have 5 Dublin minors, think Davis had 1 on extended panel, Davy keogh Probo would of walked onto the minor team had he not picked hurling, should be good game na fianna be favs though.

Said it earlier in the thread but Davis have surprised so many this year. Won Division 1 and now in Champo Final after initial debate was whether they should be in Division 1 at all! Should be a very good final, two best teams by a distance, they played in group and was meant to be a good game with Na Fianna winning by a few in the end.

Just wondering do Vincent’s have any lads who played hurling for Dublin ?they didn’t seem to win a single league game but managed to walk the group and beat some good teams in the knockout ?

From what I know, They are starting 3 or 4 U-16s As, as you know the U-16s won the A championship and have some very good players. 1 minor footballer Cian O Brien and I think 2 Dublin hurlers were fully available come championship and one or two players went up from the B team are were quite good.

All of the above would be correct and would be making a difference. Truth be told they were very lucky to beat Ballinteer after extra time.

Re; Thomas Davis. There should never have been any doubt they were a Division 1 team.

Was just wondering as some of the teams they beat in the championship finished above them in the league , should be two good games anyway, be great to see Davis win but na Fianna are some side

Davis have been able to produce really good minor teams over the 4 years or so. Fair play to them, they’re doing something right underage and it’d be good to see a club who wouldn’t be considered a “super club” win the championship.

Aye … but not til next year …

What dates are these finals to be played ?

Sunday week I’d imagine.

Are Vincent’s not down to play in aughrim in the lenstier championship that day though ?

Won’t make a difference minor game will be fixed no later than 11. Senior game likely 2 or 2.30. Should be able to do both although it’ll be tight. Certainly if the minor game is fixed for Sunday week it will go ahead. CCC won’t hold it up.

Mary’s v Vincent’s confirmed for 10:30 O’toole park Sunday the 12th November

Na Fianna v Davis confirmed for 12 o’clock O’toole park 12 November

Should have been fixed for Parnell, Would have been just reward for all involved.

If the Nell was an all weather pitch it could host all finals. In the mean time it may be required for Leinster club games, o’Byrne Cup, Walsh Cup, National League etc over the winter and has to be saved for them.

Send those games to otoole park then, seenoevilhearnoevil board delegate
