Looks like a revamp of shc on the cards

Problem is they seem reluctant to make a season wide change, instead keep tweaking each competition individually.

The auld roundy robin is interesting ahead of this week’s final games with all four teams capable of making the Leinster QF. Laois hot favs but could still lose out with a few maddish results. Westmeath on 0 points could make the cut. If Kerry beat Laois and Meath beat Westmeath we have three teams on 4 with GD deciding. No dead rubbers in anyways …

#4

Laois go through to play Wexford.

Kerry 3-15 Laois 2-21

Westmeath 1-18 Meath 0-19

#5

And indeed they did!

#6

ha. sounds like it was a close enough round robin, some good scorelines in those games anyways. Meath have improved a bit? Kerry are better then they have been for some time.

#7

Yep - it was tight enough. I can understand the Westmeath manager’s comments re Kerry and Meath but then three Leinster football counties will be one game away from a Championship exit next Sunday evening.

Cork v Tipp this weekend - should be a good one (hopefully), great chance for Tipp to redeem themselves for their terrible performance against galway in the league final - should still have too much for Cork at home you’d imagine - just hope Cork can stay in it for a bit.

Good contest here between Cork & Tipp , could be a high scoring match .

#12

Yea, good game, not a sweeper in sight!

#13

Great start to this game. Great forwards on show. Cork have improved over last 12 months. Would still expect Tipp to win. Games like this at this tempo really show how a year/2 out of this level for our players could be so detrimental.

#14

Tipp not looking like world beaters here .

#15

What a game of hurling. Expansive, fast, great skill and superb point taking on both sides.
Tipp getting more than they want or perhaps thought they’d get so far. Wide open at this stage.
Goals will probably be the difference maker but wouldn’t be surprised at a draw.

#16

Never thought I’d say this but come on cork

#17

Tipp in a bit of bother now !

#18

Draw on the cards here ?

#19

Nope!
