Not being hard on Scoil Bart, but just out of curiosity how many of the Scoil panel would be Inter county transfers? I know it’s hard to compete with the larger clubs nearby so it’s perhaps understandable to a degree.
at least 6
Regularly start . It’s either that or go to the wall . That’s the choice
Yes i Agree , it is what it is, not easy in that area to compete with stronger clubs
I’m not digging, Bart… but why did they choose Scoil? Mates of existing Scoil players/members? Are they comfortable playing at that level? Could some of them make AFL1 standard?
Some loose connections but Location is convienient . It’s on a main road . Midweek easier to train there .
Isles well beaten by Olafs
Fingal Ravens 2-10, St Marys 0-13
Scoil won by 2. 10-8
O’Tooles 0-14 TSS 1-14
Could’ve gone either way, very good game
St Pats won by 4 pts
St Pats § beat St Pats (D) by 4 pts
Heard Mary’s were short already due to injury and holidays and suffered another serious injury during the game!injuries at this time of the year never a good sign
Every tem has injuries and lads away at this time of the year. Most clubs are struggling to field a team at the moment
Double edged sword . Nice to play in good weather but for smaller clubs it’s a mare with holidays etc . Plus lads unlikely to hang around for Sunday morning games at low grade Junior level with the weather on Friday and Saturday . July will be worse again unfortunately
Personally believe the leagues should start sooner and the championships moved to September
Plenty of times to fit more AFL 2 games in at the start of the year and most of these teams are hardly focusing on the championship?ridiclous playing up to 7 games or so over June and July I think
Totally agree on this . Some small clubs are so short players you’ll see walkover central in the coming weeks
do you think there’s scope for certain clubs to have a different set of rules regarding players playing 4 games in the league above? As in a club with only 2 senior teams can have a player play 5/6 games for the team above without being ineligble for the below team?
Would rather have a window where you could play 13 a side during the "summer "months (or 11 in lower divisions).
