2018 NFL: Round 5 - Dublin v Kerry, Sunday March 11th, Croke Park, 4pm (Live Eir Sport 2)

One team it won’t help is mayo IMO.
They operate off limited pool of 20 players and tend to do just enough to win while running risk of defeat against weaker teams.
They don’t have facility to rest many key and still win.
They won’t be helped by the attritional nature of super eights as they’ll pick up injuries and don’t have players to back fill.
Super eights will help dublin with bigger pool of talent on panel and also help those counties looking to break into top 3 but without expectations (yet) of winning. Galway etc.
Just makes 4 in row more likely and 5.

I think they have demonstrated they improve over a run of games. Granted a few injuries to key people is a risk, we susceptible to that too though.

It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out.

How many of their champo games did they win in 70mins. If they make it into super 8s they will be found out. They will have it in the s&c but will be let down by their footballing. After Dubs there’s no other team you could back.

One injury to Andy Moran & they are fcuked. Look at how many players we have been able to absorb the loss of & we keep on truckin’

Then there are all the games they needed extra time or replays to win. They’ve been playing with fire these past 2 summers & sooner or later, they are gonna get burned. My money is on sooner.

I was just lookin back on some posts from last year and this one is oh so true, although I was slapped on the paw for sayin they were shite, they came within a point , and brought us to a replay, that’s what yer supposed to do in big games, so what they still won ■■■■ all and are still shite

#695

Jeeze that was a while ago. Anyone remember the final score?

#696

its hard to keep track of the scores and the amount of times we beat these pretenders

#697

Hmmmm … was it the game that finished

#698

Well them aswell, but it I talkin about that other mob from the wessht

#699

That print is too small for me to read… any chance of making it bigger?

#700

It’s 12 point …

#701

#703

did he not play in the league final, where we were beatin by a point and had it gone to extra time we would have slaughtered them ?

#704

Did you not mean games that people actually give a shiney shyte about?

#705

ah yeah , theres a score at stake here

#706

That bate us in the league in 2012 and 2015 too, but good luck finding anyone who can remember either score. And that’s coming from someone who was at both games.

#707

grand stuff , yer a hell of a lady

#708

I remember them clapping us onto the pitch - as AI champs - in 2012, but that is about it.
Half of the Kerry squad “forgot” about the tradition and went down to the Canal to warm up. Then in 2014, they all lined up, but they didn’t clap. Such gracious losers down in the Kingdom.

Donaghy did not feature in the 2017 Final at all.
